Levelling about me...
I'm Mick Malloy, the Mick bit of 'Maintenance Mick Handyman'.
AT THE TENDER AGE OF SEVEN I recognised my calling to the illustrious handyman profession. After disassembling every door lock in the family home for preventative maintenance, the locksmith complimented me on my neat little piles of like components - springs in one pile, cogs in another etc. Unfortunately, my parents couldn't muster the same enthusiasm for my newfound calling.
Friends once told me that to gain a competitive edge in maintenance in Byron Shire you just had to show up. Well I do show up and mostly on time. If I'm running late, guaranteed I'll be stuck on Ewingsdale Rd (parking lot) repeating that most apt mantra, 'Life is the journey, not the destination'. On the job I am pet friendly, unless you have a Jack Russell named Boris who has a penchant for nicking screwdrivers, and I have been known to acknowledge the existence of small children. I also respect garden beds and clean carpet.
Re remuneration, I seek just enough to put crayfish on the table.
